This textbook contains both the beloved 'Easy Spanish' and 'Advanced Spanish' Step-by-Step books.
As it contains both, it is a very great, all-encompassing textbook to help you understand the basics of verbs, vocab, and grammar in Spanish Spanish, as well as more advanced topics.
On top of this, this textbook includes flashcards, audio, tons of exercises, and more!
2.) Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish
This book will cover all necessary basics, plus some extra, in a fun and easy to understand way.
It is a bit old (and has not been updated since the initial publishing), but it is still 500+ pages of helpful explanations, vocab, conversation examples and practice, some exercises, and more.
P.S - the illustrations are, surprisingly, from Andy Warhol!!
3.) Spanish Verbs Workbook
This workbook from Lingo Mastery is a great option for those wanting a bit more of a grammar focus - particularly verbs!
Verb tenses and conjugations in Spanish are pretty difficult and this book does a great job of explaining things well, offering tons of exercises, explanations and examples, and more.
If you are a beginner or low intermediate learner, this is a great option to ensure you master your verbs!

This book contains 5 of Explore to Win's books in one!
The nearly 400 pages contain: Spanish Workbook for Beginners, Spanish Handbook for Beginners, Spanish Short Stories for Beginners, Intermediate Spanish Workbook, and Intermediate Spanish Short Stories.
Therefore, this book will walk you through the beginner and intermediate levels and will tackle everything from grammar to vocab to reading literacy and more. On top of that, you get access (free and exclusive paid access) to further deals such as flashcards, video courses, and much more!
5.) Spanish Grammar Workbook
This book walks you through beginner and intermediate grammar via tons of tips, exercises, and worksheets!
When you buy, you not only get the textbook and workbook, but you also get several freebies from Speak Abroad Academy as well, such as flashcards, e-books, and more.
This does contain "phonetic transcriptions" (e.g usted is 'oos-tehd') of all Spanish words, though, which I am a huge advocator against. I would suggest trying to ignore / avoid these phonetic transcriptions. If you need pronunciation help, using a service like SpanishDict or an audio dictionary or instead using the IPA (an actual phonetic transcription) is best! 🙂
6.) Dirty Spanish
This cheeky book is almost 200 pages of slang from around the Spanish speaking world.
From insults to swear words, to general slang, and more.
On top of this, not only are these words and phrases in this book, but also fun facts, recipes for themed cocktails, and more!
This book is definitely an amazing gift to yourself or a friend to help move from just a basic Spanish speaker to a more advanced, fluent, and colloquial speaker!
7.) What They Didn’t Teach You in Spanish Class
This book is an amazing tool to master the colloquial speech of Spanish all around the world!
You can scan for slang from a specific country, or you can just browse by topic - and they do cover a lot in this book!
Not only does this book cover so many different topics, but it also has tons of tips + tricks, historical facts, and great explanations!

This series from Olly Richards (creator of Story Learning) is one of the best to practice reading comprehension as a beginner or intermediate learner!

11.) Spanish-English Dictionary for Students
This is the best Spanish-English dictionary for any Spanish learners!
I typically suggest only using Spanish-Spanish dictionaries, as you remain in your target language, but it is so incredibly useful for learners of all levels to have at least one Spanish-English dictionary on hand. This one contains over 40k entries and 50k translations, even including some conjugations of verbs!
This specific edition does focus on Latin American Spanish, but you can find other dictionaries via the link below that focus on Spanish from Spain if that is what you would prefer.
12.) Illustrated Spanish-English Dictionary
This dictionary is one of my all-time favorites! It states it is designed for young students, however I find it a very useful and fun resource at any age.
The illustrations cover a wide range of topics, such as more basic topics like animals and good or advanced topics like species genus' and all the parts of an astronaut's suit, etc.
There are 50k translations and 1,000 illustrations that cover basic and advanced vocabulary. On top of this, the entries include variants, inflections, more phrases, synonyms, definitions, and more! Overall, this is a great resource that any Spanish learner would benefit from having in their back pocket.
13.) Grammar and Vocab Charts
These reference guide charts from BarCharts are great to hang in your office or just keep nearby during study sessions. They are laminated, sturdy, and very well designed.
This one covers the basics of Spanish grammar, going over rules of stress, verb categories, several conjugations, and more!

It will not expand your Spanish mastery a great deal, due to the minimal and basic vocab, but it will certainly help you with your Spanish overall. You might find yourself thinking in Spanish more and having a quciker recall in Spanish after this fast paced game!

This game is very similar to Scrabble and it is easy to play, great for all ages (though young children might have a hard time forming so many words on their own), and is super lightweight and well packaged for you to take with you anywhere. It is the perfect companion for any Spanish learner!

These are the best designed flashcards for Spanish learners that I have found! I love that it pushes no badly done phonetic transcriptions. The cards are simple, yet contain all the information you need to memorize all 200 verbs in the present indicative.

20.) Vocabulary Flashcards
This massive flashcard set is great for beginner Spanish learners.
The cards are beautifully created with helpful images for every single word! They are thick and laminated and they even include sound files.
These flashcards are also part of a series from Briston! You can therefore select from a variety of flashcard sets, such as phrases, verbs, smaller vocab sets, and more.
The only negative I have is the fact that they have their own phonetic transcription on each card under each Spanish word. As you all know, I hate when any phonetic transcription other than IPA is used for pronunciation purposes. I wish they had included only the sound files and kept the cards simple and clean, instead of having this phonetic transcription that can be misleading and confusing (and lead to bad habits!) for most Spanish learners. My tip: ignore the phonetic transcription and rely on the audio and your knowledge of Spanish pronunciation rules!
